I plan to snorkel on all of our charters, whether a day-long or several nights.  The shallow water patch reefs southeast of Key West show less wear and tear than the ones visited by most of Key West’s diving and snorkel charter boats.  You will see many varieties of live coral and myriad fishes and crustaceans.  Want to know what you’re looking at?  Just ask, I know most of the critters by name and a lot about their life cycles in the Keys ecosystems.  If you find something I can’t identify, we’ll get out one of our many field guides on board to add a new fish to your fish life list. 

During our kayak trips in and around the mangrove islands, we’ll often find an overhung channel within the islands where it’s worth having a look around at the underwater world.  Watch for mangrove crabs and the occasional manatee lurking in the quiet, protected waters.
