Barefoot Dancer is a 40x22’ custom-built trimaran.  It’s based on an improved Jim Brown design.  Barefoot Dancer is a fast boat.  Her extra wide beam makes her comfortable ride better than most other sail- or powerboats – affording extra comfort for those who may have trouble with the motion of the ocean!   

Robin engineered a special shallow draft refit so we can take you to the best of the back country.  We’ll pull right up to a mangrove island for a calm, quiet evening anchorage or for a quick paddle into the mangrove islands.  Barefoot Dancer’s large deck invites you to enjoy the outdoor world.  Under sail, you can always find a shady spot to enjoy.  Barefoot Dancer has shaded center cockpit with seating space for 4.  The center cockpit also houses a dining table that seats 4 more.  On the foredeck, you can lounge in the nets and watch the marine life or catch a nap.  Many a nights’ rest has been taken out front as well.  There’s another comfortable tramp at the back of the boat.  The rest of the deck allows for lawn chairs and cushions to be set up as well as providing storage for the sea kayaks and sailboards.

Barefoot Dancer is equipped with photovoltaic solar panels that provide our electricity for lights and music.  We don’t need a generator to provide most of the comforts of home so you can enjoy the quiet of the special place we live.

Forward of the center cockpit are two full-sized berths and a stand-up head.  Each berth has adequate storage for your journey with us.  The berths also have two portlights that can be opened to allow a fresh breeze to blow over you in the night.  Of course, each has fans as well for the breathless evenings that bless the Keys.  The head has a hot shower in addition to standard facilities.

Down the rear campanionway is the main cabin where the crew stays.  We prepare gourmet food everyday in our well-appointed galley.  Want to help with the cooking?  Just ask – we’re always interested in sharing new recipes.
